SERVICES & APPROACH
What services do you offer, and what do they include?
I offer a range of services, from engagement and wedding photography, to professional and personal portrait shoots. You can find out more about each service, and the prices, in the different sections of this site.
Do you have a portfolio or examples of your work?
This website is full of examples of my work, please explore at your leisure.
What is your photography style?
For Weddings: Documentary wedding photography is all about capturing the genuine essence of a wedding day, focusing on the spontaneous moments as they naturally unfold. This style stands apart from traditional posed photography by aiming to tell the story of the day in a more photojournalistic way. It zeroes in on the raw emotions, candid interactions, and the intricate details of the day as they occur, avoiding any artificial staging or interference.
For Portraits: My approach is relaxed and low-key, putting you at ease so that you feel comfortable and confident throughout the session. This helps me capture the most flattering and authentic shots that showcase your personality and style. Whether it's corporate headshots, personal portraits, family sessions, action shots that reflect your passion, or even active pursuits like mountain biking or other sports, I focus on capturing the context of who you are and what you do as part of the visual story.
How do you ensure a smooth and comfortable photography experience?
For Weddings: Documentary style photography is perfect for ensuring your day runs smoothly. It’s the least disruptive way of photographing a wedding, and allows you and your guests to enjoy the day without worrying about stopping to have staged photo’s taken. I’ll blend into the background, capturing the moments that make your wedding special, photographing you and your guests at those moments when you’re at your most natural and relaxed.
For Portraits: I take a different approach with portraits in order to get the best out of you and the shoot. My main aim is to make sure you’re relaxed and comfortable as that’s when the most natural and authentic photo’s are captured.
For personal portraits, I’ll chat to you throughout the shoot, asking questions and finding out what makes you tick, all with the aim of getting some lovely natural smiles and relaxed shots, that ensure your personality shines through.
For Corporate portraits, I like to capture photos that convey not only who you are, but also your role in the company, to produce final portraits that properly reflect your companies values as well as your personality.
BOOKING & FEES
What is your booking process, and how far in advance should we book?
All you need to do is complete the form on the website or send me an email at ebr@eddradcliffe.com with the type of shoot you're after, preferred date and location, and I'll be in touch to discuss further.
For Weddings, please include the date of your wedding and I’ll let you know as soon as possible whether I’m available that day. If I am, we’ll set up a Zoom call to discuss your day in more detail. If you’re local to Midhurst/Chichester, we can meet in person and I’ll buy you a coffee while we have a chat.
Do you offer a contract? What are the terms and cancellation policy?
Yes, everything will be detailed on a contract. Once you’re sure you’d like to go ahead and book me , a non-refundable £300 booking fee secures the date. Should anything happen to me and I need to cancel my attendance, I will either find a replacement photographer from my network or return your deposit. Please be assured, cancellation on my side is very rare and hasn’t happened yet!
What are your payment options and schedule?
Payments are all done by bank transfer. I require a non-refundable £300 booking fee to secure the date of the shoot and then the remaining balance is due on delivery of the images.
Do you charge travel fees, and how do you handle travel arrangements?
Travel within a 50 mile radius of Midhurst excluding London & the Isle Of Wight is included in the price.
For shoots outside the 50 mile radius, travel and any necessary accommodation costs will be quoted. To give an idea of typical cost, mileage will be charged at 45 pence a mile, and accommodation will be arranged at a reasonably priced hotel. Accommodation is usually required for destinations that are more than 3 hours drive from Midhurst. For these weddings, I may require an overnight stay of one night or two, depending on how early the preparations are due to begin. Every effort will be made to keep these additional travel and accommodation costs within a budget of £250 as much as possible.
